Who sees what

Every person in Cura has one role in your organisation. The role decides which parts of the sidebar they see and what they can change. Roles are set on Settings > Team by an Administrator.

A Staff Member who opens a page they cannot use is sent back to a page they can. They never see another worker’s shifts, clients or pay.

An Administrator can create custom roles on Settings > Roles & permissions. A custom role starts from one of the three base roles and then switches off whole modules. Use it when, for example, a coordinator should roster but never see invoicing. A custom role can only narrow access; it cannot grant more than its base role.

Some people use Cura without a login at all:

  • Clients complete their onboarding pack from an emailed link.
  • New workers complete their onboarding requirements from an emailed link before they have an account.
  • Workers can open their shift list from an emailed link to record actuals.

Each link is unique to one person and one purpose. If a link has expired, the office can send a fresh one from the client’s or worker’s record.
